Why Schedule a Discovery Call?

A discovery conversation can focus on 835 forensic recovery, 837 pre-submission contract intelligence, or both. The goal is to establish the relevant contract universe, available data, current workflow, and the operational and technical teams that should participate.

What We Can Review

  • The payer contracts and amendments relevant to the engagement.
  • The appropriate 12-to-24-month historical 835 lookback for forensic recovery.
  • How contracts are validated, coded, and converted into executable financial models.
  • The 835 verification, appeal, tracking, and weekly reporting workflow.
  • How outbound 837P and 837I claims can be evaluated against the same contract models.
  • Expected allowed amounts, contract findings, variance risk, risk indicators, and supporting evidence.
  • The appropriate integration point within the organization’s existing billing environment.
  • For organizations using Epic, the Epic-native, report-only deployment architecture.

Time to Value

On the recovery side, contract coding and digitization typically takes four to six weeks from a complete contract submission. Once contracts and required files are ready, forensic calculation generally takes less than a week. Appeals can begin after client verification.

For Epic environments where the 837 capability is deployed, the supplied implementation model describes an initial 60-to-120-day phase for integration, live contract execution, expected-allowed output, risk reporting, and coder/biller fix lists. Organizations that have already completed contract digitization for recovery begin with the contract-modeling work already completed.
